Wow! My first blog post! How exciting. I thought I would start things off by sharing the work of one of my very favorite contemporary knitwear designers, Annie Larson. Her clothes are vibrant and playful and I love her interesting use of pattern and shape. These pieces were knit on a Brother KH-950 knitting machine and were made for New Land of Milk and Honey, a collaborative show at the Soap Factory in Minneapolis, MN.
Check out work from the show itself

Yes! I'm going to love it.
ReplyDeleteMy mom is a contemporary textile professional artist.
I'm not sure if she's ever knitted, but her quilting has developed over the years into pretty fancy techniques. Check out the instructional video I made for her to introduce the "confetti technique" she occasionally uses/teaches:

thanks raff! I had no idea your mom was a textile artist- that is awesome! I am at work and have no sound but I will watch the video when I get home today.
